Robert was born and grew up in Belfast, and spent many weekends and holidays exploring Northern Ireland as a child. His favourite castle in the whole world is Dunluce, on the Antrim coast, and other favourite places include the White Island figures on Lough Erne, the sandy beach at Cushendun, the islands of Strangford Lough, and anywhere that sells a good pint of Guinness!

As the political situation allowed, he enjoyed discovering more of the rest of the island, from the bustle of Dublin to the dramatic coastline of Connemara. He is looking forward to sharing the land of his birth with more visitors.
